The Ventec tip features a single, large-diameter coolant hole positioned off-centre within the carbide tip. This hole is the entry point for the Spraymist mixture into the cutting zone. Unlike conventional gundrills that use high-pressure liquid coolant, the Ventec system delivers an atomised mist that expands at the cutting face, creating a refrigerating effect. The hole geometry is optimised to deliver the mist evenly across the cutting edge and the bearing pads.
